Dear Authors, Reviewers, Editorial Board Members, and Readers,
We are pleased to announce an important update: effective immediately, Frontiers in Preventive Medicine has been officially renamed Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
This strategic change reflects our evolving vision to better define the journal's scope, expand its academic influence, and more effectively serve scholars and practitioners in the global public health and preventive medicine communities.
Background and VisionSince its launch, our journal has been dedicated to providing a high-level, interdisciplinary platform for disseminating cutting-edge research in preventive medicine and public health. As the field evolves and global health challenges become increasingly complex, the integration of public health and preventive medicine has never been more critical. The new title more accurately captures our core mission: to bridge the gap between fundamental research, clinical practice, community action, and policy implementation, ultimately advancing health promotion and disease prevention for populations worldwide.
Under its new name, the journal will continue to uphold rigorous peer review and our open access publishing model, while further expanding its scope to encompass a broad spectrum of topics, including epidemiology, chronic disease prevention, infectious disease surveillance, vaccinology, health equity, environmental and occupational health, health behavior, digital health, health economics, and global health.
