- Epidemiology and disease prevention (e.g., infectious disease control, chronic disease intervention)
- Health promotion and behavioral intervention (e.g., health education, lifestyle guidance)
- Environmental and occupational health (e.g., impact of environmental pollutants, occupational protection)
- Global health and health equity (e.g., cross-regional health resource allocation, vulnerable population health security)
- Health policy and system research (e.g., public health policy formulation, healthcare system optimization)
- Digital health and innovative prevention (e.g., AI in disease prediction, telehealth management)
- Content: Present novel, rigorous research findings (including clear objectives, methods, results, and discussions).
- Length: Typically 3,000–6,000 words (excluding abstract, references, tables, and figures).
- Structure: Include Title, Abstract (200–300 words, with 3–5 keywords), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Author Contributions.
- Content: Synthesize the latest research progress in a specific subfield, identify research gaps, and propose future directions.
- Length: 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references and figures).
- Requirement: Must cite recent, high-impact literature (preferably within the past 5 years) and avoid simple summaries of existing studies.
- Content: Report rare or representative clinical cases related to preventive medicine (e.g., atypical disease prevention cases, successful intervention cases).
- Length: 1,500–3,000 words.
- Requirement: Include Case Presentation, Discussion (linking the case to broader preventive medicine implications), and Ethics Statement (if involving human subjects).
- Content: Express insights on hot topics, policy issues, or emerging trends in preventive medicine (supported by evidence or logical analysis).
- Length: 1,000–2,000 words.
- Requirement: Clear stance, concise argumentation, and no redundant background information.

- Tables & Figures:
Label tables as “Table 1, Table 2…” and figures as “Figure 1, Figure 2…” (with descriptive captions).
Ensure figures are high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) and in editable formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF, or Excel for tables).
Avoid duplicating data between tables and text.
3.2 Ethical Compliance- Human/Animal Subjects: If the research involves human participants or animals, the manuscript must include:
- A statement confirming approval by the relevant Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee (e.g., “This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of [Institution Name], Approval No. [XXX]”).
- A statement confirming informed consent was obtained from all participants (or their legal guardians for minors).
- Conflict of Interest (COI): All authors must complete and submit a Conflict of Interest Declaration Form. If no conflicts exist, state: “All authors declare no competing interests.”
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not previously published (including in preprint servers like arXiv or bioRxiv, unless explicitly noted and updated). Simultaneous submission to other journals is strictly prohibited.
- Online Submission System: Log in to the FPMJ platform (https://fpmjournal.org/) and navigate to the “FPM Submission” section to upload your manuscript and supplementary materials.
- Email Submission: Send the complete manuscript (as a single PDF file) and supplementary documents (e.g., COI form, IRB approval letter) to the editorial office: info@fpmjournal.org.
- Email subject format: “FPM Submission – [Manuscript Title] – [Corresponding Author Name]”.
- The complete manuscript (PDF format, with all tables/figures embedded).
- Conflict of Interest Declaration Form (signed by all authors).
- IRB/Ethics Committee approval letter (if applicable).
- Permission letters (if using copyrighted materials, e.g., figures from other journals).
- Contact information of the corresponding author (full name, affiliation, email, and phone number).
- Initial Screening: The editorial office will first check if the manuscript meets FPM’s scope, format, and ethical requirements. Manuscripts that fail initial screening will be rejected without peer review.
- Peer Review: Qualified manuscripts will be sent to 2–3 independent reviewers (experts in the relevant field). The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.
- Decision Notification: After reviewing reviewer comments, the editor-in-chief will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept: No revisions needed.
- Minor Revision: Revisions required (reviewer comments addressed; no re-review needed).
- Major Revision: Substantial revisions required (re-review by original reviewers).
- Reject: Manuscript does not meet FPM’s academic standards.
- Revision Submission: Authors must respond to all reviewer comments (point-by-point) and submit revised manuscripts within the deadline specified in the decision letter.
- Article Processing Charge (APC): To support academic accessibility, APC is fully waived for all manuscripts submitted by December 2026. No hidden fees will be charged during submission, review, or publication.
- Copyright: Upon acceptance, authors will sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) granting FPM the right to publish, distribute, and archive the article. Authors retain the right to use the article for non-commercial purposes (e.g., teaching, personal research).
- Open Access: All articles published in FPM are available open access via the journal’s official platform and Crossref. Each article will be assigned a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for global retrieval and citation.
- Errata/Corrections: If errors are identified after publication, authors must notify the editorial office promptly. The journal will publish an “Erratum” or “Correction” to correct the error.
- Retractions: Manuscripts may be retracted if they contain severe errors, plagiarism, or ethical misconduct (following guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics, COPE).
